Second time the car has been in and no fault has been found on the external temperature gauge. It annoying the 3 degree warning when its 10+ degrees. The gauge corrects its self eventually. The temperature comes on at the temperature it was left at.
My car even got a wash. You did what you said you were going to do and even washed the car for me.

The car is never returned with my personal settings in place. The lights are always set to manual, not auto. I also had to reset the tyre pressures.

I rang for a basic service and expected 2 hours. However it needed software update so I had to leave it all day. Not sure why software update takes so long and if I wanted a courtesy car I would have to wait until the following week.
Problem fixed quickly and good communication
The car service was carried out quickly while I waited, all staff were pleasant and efficient, and the waiting area is comfortable and offers wifi, beverages and biscuits and even ipads for customer use.
Service carried out on time, advice given on future issues which may need attention.
The problem was dealt with promptly and courteously.
I had an error message about my tyre whilst out with my grandchildren. I was reassured and my tyre changed. Children were occupied whilst we waited and we had drinks too.
This is the first BMW i have bought for myself although i have bought BMWs for family and employes, my car has had a fault from day one and has been in to Bowker 3 times for the same fault, the last time for three days and is still faulty

Friendly can do attitude from the whole of the staff, from the reception to the managers. Always treated with complete respect and explain everything in great detail. Great customer service, can not fault them in anyway.
They swapped an alloy wheel with one I supplied and I asked them to exchange the existing tyre from the old alloy top the new one and then leave the other tyre off. They refitted the tyre to the old alloy which is not what wanted.
Not used Bowker Preston before. Excellent service from the enquiry desk, to collecting the car after its service. Only had it 5 months and got it back just like when I bought it from BMW Eastern Edinburgh.

Staff helpful in relation to the booking for the upgrade - it was made completely clear to me what the process would be and the period of time the vehicle would be required for the work to be carried out. A replacement vehicle was provided as agreed
Service while there was great. A little confusion when booking though as the initial service person did not have complete knowledge of my car tyres and at one point inferred they were run flats when theyre not. Subsequent service person was better

The overall service experience is exceptional from booking an appointment over the telephone, the greeting when you arrive at reception, to the customer services assistant. All the members of staff I dealt with were polite and professional.
I was kept fully informed of progress at all times and the whole process was smooth and hassle free
Twice arrived for a appointment to find the parts were not available. Bowker had the wrong telephone number one which I had never had. Even after correcting this the wrong one was still used. A letter would have avoided the inconvenience

Bowker picked my car up late, broke a part during the service, which meant ordering a part, and then dropped it off a day later than planned (which was already a day late due to the broken part) and tried to charge more than the pre-agreed price.
Always have my car serviced here without issue. On time, can collect or drop off.

For a basic oil service it was very expensive. Plus the dash rattle/buzz I asked to be fixed was not fixed and I think it's actually worse.
I have a recurring fault on my car. Intermittent and random triggering of the reverse warning sensor. I have mentioned on every service. But the fault can not be traced, it has not been rectified and still occurs.
Only 4/5 as I had to make 2 visits to the workshops for a tyre replacement having been told the required tyre was in stock, but on arrival that it was the wrong type. Otherwise completely satisfied.

As previously mentioned, the service was slightly better than ive exeperienced the time before.
My overall 'customer experience' level had dropped alarmingly from previous years.
Professional staff and workforce
The dealer kept us fully informed up to date with all work which was being carried out, prices were as quoted with no expensive surprises! Pick and drop off service was very efficient and fitted in well with our schedules.
Low coolant warning appeared on the dashboard the day after the service. Car was washed & valeted but dashboard surfaces were still dusty and had not been wiped down.
Bowkers in Preston have astonished me with their professional skill, courtesy and efficiency for many years. I bought my car from them in 1999 and they have looked after it perfectly ever since. An amazing record over so many years.
My recent oil service was carried out well as far as I can tell, the requests I made for the car not to be vacuumed or washed were honoured.

After expressing my displeasure at the car not being ready the service receptionist offered to deliver the car to my home. At 18:15 a taxi arrived at my house to take me to Bowkers at Preston. The taxi was for the delivery driver not me!!
On the day I dealt with Ewan at Bowker Preston, who always goes above and beyond and I feel he treats customers with a warm welcoming, and is excellent at customer service. My car was handed back to me in a clean manner.

I was kept fully informed of the progress of the build and delivery of my car and I was offered a peek at the car before final handover. At the handover Alison was brilliant and engaged with my grandchildren (who had accompanied me)
completely satisfied with the whole process; felt a little let down that i didnt have my car waiting for me the the special room like i did with my 4 series grand coupe, this car was in the parking bay waiting for me to drive off.
however the best customer service I've ever had was from Sheffield bmw, they delivered the car with a bouquet of flowers in the passenger seat, this was a very special touch and I've never forgotten it. I know of a person who got given cleaning kit.
